We are looking for a driven Senior Accountant with strong technical expertise in SEC reporting and M& A accounting to join their dynamic team.

     

    As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the SEC, in addition to leading the accounting efforts related to acquisitions. The ideal candidate possesses a CPA certification and has a robust background in technical accounting, financial reporting, and project-based contributions in a fast-paced environment. This role involves detailed collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, requiring exceptional analytical and communication skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Oversee and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with SEC regulations.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely filings in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC guidelines.

    + Lead and manage purchase accounting and financial integrations for acquisitions to ensure compliance with ASC 805 (Accounting for Business Combinations) and other applicable standards.

    + Research and apply complex accounting guidance; provide technical accounting advice related to new transactions, acquisitions, or changes in accounting guidance.

    + Analyze key financial data, deliver variance analysis, and support the leadership team with actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

    + Maintain, enhance, and document internal controls surrounding financial reporting and acquisition accounting. Support internal and external audit processes to ensure SOX and compliance requirements are met.

    + Act as a liaison with external auditors when addressing complex accounting issues or when reviewing new M& A deals.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree in Accounting, CPA designation is required.

    + Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in SEC reporting for a publicly traded company.

    + Previous Big 4 or large-mid-tier public accounting experience.

    + Strong experience with M& A accounting, including purchase accounting and deal-related financial integrations.

    + Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance requirements.

    + Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills with precise attention to detail.

    + Strong team player with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

    + Prior experience working in high-growth, acquisition-driven organizations and/or regulated industries.
