Description
We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee daily financial operations and ensure the accuracy of all accounting processes. This role will involve managing general ledger activities, payroll administration, and employee benefits while providing analytical support for budgeting and forecasting. Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, this position is integral to maintaining compliance and delivering reliable financial insights. Responsibilities:
• Oversee monthly and annual financial close processes, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Manage general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipts.
• Process biweekly payroll and assist with employee benefits administration, including open enrollment and 401(k) management.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules, ensuring accurate reporting of acquisitions and disposals.
• Prepare monthly cash flow analyses and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure the accuracy of revenues and expenses.
• Support the preparation of year-end financial statements and coordinate external audits.
• Assist in tracking corporate insurance policies and maintaining internal control documentation.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards and organizational policies.
• Develop and implement accounting policies to adapt to changing regulations.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and financial services platforms such as ADP.
• Proven ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in auditing, budgeting, and preparing financial reports.
