Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join an oil and gas service company in Midland, Texas. This Contract-to-long-term position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with ownership, providing vital support in managing financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in full-charge bookkeeping and a strong commitment to maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with precision and attention to detail.

• Process payroll efficiently and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and expense reports to maintain financial accuracy.

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain a well-organized general ledger.

• Generate profit and loss statements and balance sheets to support financial decision-making.

• Act as a key resource and right-hand support to the owner, assisting in various financial tasks.

• Collaborate with external accounting firms to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.

• Utilize NetSuite and Open Invoice software to streamline financial operations and reporting. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience in a detail-oriented environment.

• Proficiency in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.

• Strong skills in bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries.

• Experience with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

• Familiarity with NetSuite and Open Invoice software is highly desirable.

• Ability to work independently with minimal training and adapt quickly to new systems.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively liaise with ownership and external partners.
