Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Lee's Summit, Missouri. This position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a background in accounting, and a passion for delivering excellent service. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

• Manage property accounting tasks, including tracking expenses and overseeing financial transactions.

• Utilize Yardi to process and reconcile accounts, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

• Collaborate with team members to provide training and share knowledge related to financial processes.

• Monitor deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of reports and deliverables.

• Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and identify discrepancies for correction.

• Implement and maintain systems to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries professionally.

• Assist in audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is strongly preferred.

• Minimum of three years of experience in accounting, with property management experience being an advantage.

• Proficiency in Yardi and familiarity with other accounting software.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance requirements.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently.

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.

• Capability to train team members and communicate financial concepts clearly.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze financial data accurately.
