    We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our fast-paced agriculture industry team in Bakersfield, California. This position requires a detail-oriented individual to handle high-volume accounts payable tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing payments and reconciling records.     Responsibilities:

    • Process and code invoices accurately while handling administrative bills, vendor payments, and grower payments.

    • Reconcile accounts payable transactions against statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

    • Generate detailed reports and provide financial data to other departments as needed.

    • Maintain organized records and perform heavy-volume filing to support daily operations.

    • Collaborate directly with the Accounting Manager to execute accounts payable duties efficiently.

    • Utilize accounting software to manage financial entries and streamline workflows.

    • Conduct research to verify payment details and resolve inquiries.

    • Manage outgoing mail and maintain department files.

    • Ensure compliance with internal purchasing protocols and process purchase orders effectively.

     

    Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.

     

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, with intermediate to advanced accounting skills.

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    • Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.

    • Experience with accounting software is required; Solomon accounting software experience is a plus.

    • Skilled in typing and 10-key data entry.

    • A detail-oriented approach and reliability in a fast-paced work environment.

    • Familiarity with internet-based tools and research methods.
