Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in New York, New York. In this Contract-to-continuing position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple entities and states. This position requires expertise in payroll systems and a strong understanding of payroll regulations to manage high-volume payroll operations effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll accurately and efficiently for multiple entities and states, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Manage high-volume payroll operations, including garnishments and benefits administration.
• Utilize payroll software such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, or similar platforms to execute payroll functions.
• Ensure all payroll-related documentation is accurate and up to date, including tax filings and compliance reports.
• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner to maintain employee satisfaction.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data.
• Oversee 401(k) and RRSP administration, ensuring proper contributions and compliance.
• Conduct audits to verify payroll accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Stay informed on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
• Support Canadian payroll processing, if applicable, ensuring compliance with regional requirements. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll processing, including multi-state and multi-entity environments.
• Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance regulations and best practices.
• Experience handling high-volume payroll operations with over 500 employees.
• Familiarity with 401(k) and RRSP administration, garnishments, and benefits functions.
• Ability to manage Canadian payroll processes is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
