Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant based in Lessburg, Virginia. The primary function of this role is to manage and analyze financial information, ensure the accuracy of transactions, and contribute to the maintenance of general ledger accounts. You will be working in a position that is pivotal for the smooth operation of our financial activities.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Keep customer credit records up-to-date and precise.

• Conduct comprehensive review and analysis of financial information for accurate recording of transactions.

• Prepare reports and verify their accuracy.

• Assist in the management and recording of transactions in a timely and precise manner.

• Help with the preparation of financial statements for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

• Contribute to external annual audit processes by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing essential information for auditors.

• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.

• Observe and document processes and procedures related to all aspects of accounting and operations functions; provide input on areas for improvement.

• Utilize skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, and Month End Close. Requirements

• Possess strong skills in account reconciliation, able to meticulously cross-check financial entries for accuracy.

• Proficient in balance sheet reconciliation, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and up-to-date.

• Experienced in conducting bank reconciliations, verifying transactions and ensuring financial records are correct.

• Demonstrable knowledge of general ledger operations, maintaining and updating financial records as necessary.

• Ability to prepare and manage journal entries, documenting business transactions comprehensively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, able to utilize its features for complex financial calculations and data analysis.

• Capable of managing month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
