Description We are looking for a skilled Budget Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in La Puente, California. This position will play a key role in managing financial aspects of a large-scale project, including budgeting, financial reporting, and accounts receivable collections. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, analytical capabilities, and proficiency in financial systems to ensure the project’s financial success.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment between projected and actual costs.
• Analyze financial data to create detailed reports and provide actionable insights for senior management.
• Oversee accounts receivable collections, ensuring timely receipt of funds and proper expense tracking.
• Set up and maintain project financial data within systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, and Monday.com.
• Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager and other team members to streamline contract and subcontract financial processes.
• Act as a liaison between the internal finance team and external clients, ensuring accurate reporting of financial data.
• Provide preparation and support for audits by compiling necessary financial documents and reports.
• Assist in the creation and review of budget-to-actual reports to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with business development teams to align financial strategies with project goals. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting and financial management, particularly with project or program budgets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Familiarity with financial systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, and Monday.com.
• Experience in accounts receivable management and budget tracking.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with finance teams and clients.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in nonprofit or government sectors is a plus.
