Description We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to manage and maintain our Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. This role encompasses both on-premise and cloud-based environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of our enterprise systems. As a Contract-to-permanent position based in Cleveland, Ohio, this opportunity offers a pathway for long-term growth and impactful contributions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and regular maintenance of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.

• Monitor database performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and security.

• Perform routine backups and establish recovery protocols to safeguard data integrity.

• Collaborate with development and IT teams to support application functionality and reporting needs.

• Apply patches, upgrades, and security measures to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and policies.

• Participate in planning and executing database strategies to align with technology improvement goals.

• Conduct regular evaluations to optimize database operations and resolve technical issues.

• Promote workplace safety and security by adhering to organizational rules and procedures. Requirements • Associate’s degree in computer science or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience managing relational database systems, including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.

• Familiarity with Oracle programming or PL/SQL is advantageous.

• Experience working with cloud-based database environments is preferred.

• Proficiency in Linux technologies, Microsoft Azure, and MySQL.

• Strong skills in database optimization, configuration management, and backup technologies.

• Ability to perform cluster analysis and apply AB testing techniques.
