Robert Half has partnered with a long-standing client in the non-profit industry to hire their next CFO! This CFO will report to a fantastic and forward-thinking CEO who has been with the organization for years, looking to bring additional strategy to the executive team! As CFO, you will lead the accounting, finance and IT function. We are seeking a CFO to challenge the norm, bring ideas for business development and alternative revenue streams, who has a knack for leading with high standards, positively motivating others, making critical decisions, and who has experience managing and overseeing multiple departments. This role's duties will require leading with integrity and reliability and having the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability.
How you will make an impact:
- Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports
- Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
- Ensure deliverables of self and team meet expectations
- Maintain banking and investment relationships
- Direct risk and insurance management
- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention
- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
- Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed
- Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation

Requirements
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA or MBA strongly preferred
- Prior CFO Experience in the non-profit industry REQUIRED
- Additional Preferred experience in for-profit corporations as well
- 15+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of experience in a CFO role or on the executive leadership team
- Experience managing a large team of professionals including Managers and Directors
- Proven organizational and leadership skills required
- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
