    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our team and help drive the reliability, scalability, and security of our IT infrastructure. In this role, you will focus on managing Linux servers while leveraging your expertise in automation tools like Ansible, network management with Fortigate firewalls, scripting with Python, and database administration with MySQL. This position is ideal for a driven, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Linux Server Administration: Manage, configure, and optimize Linux systems to ensure system uptime, security, and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across production and development environments.

    + Automation and Configuration Management: Design and deploy system automation workflows using Ansible to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.

    + Network Administration: Leverage Fortigate firewall expertise to oversee network security, implement firewall policies, and ensure the availability of critical connections.

    + Scripting and Development: Develop scripts and tools using Python to automate tasks, enhance system performance, and reduce manual workload.

    + Database Administration: Manage, optimize, and perform maintenance tasks on MySQL databases, including performance tuning and backup/recovery procedures.

    + System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor applications and systems proactively, addressing any stability or scalability concerns as part of your workflow.

    + Documentation and Best Practices: Maintain accurate system documentation and implement industry best practices to keep infrastructure reliable and secure.

    Requirements

    Required Skills & Experience:

    + 5+ years of Linux/Unix server administration experience in production environments.

    + Strong proficiency with Ansible for configuration management and automation deployment.

    + Hands-on experience managing Fortigate firewalls or equivalent network technologies.

    + Expertise in Python scripting for automation tasks and system optimization.

    + Solid understanding of MySQL databases and experience with database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

    + In-depth knowledge of infrastructure security principles and best practices.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex technical challenges independently or collaboratively.
