Robert Half has partnered with a large corporation to hire an Assistant Controller to help oversee their accounting team! We are looking for someone who wants to play an instrumental role and grow with the company as they continue to expand! The Assistant Controller role will be a key player in our accounting team, ensuring efficient accounting operations and financial precision.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Financial Reporting: Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of all financial statements in compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations.
+ Inventory: Maintain and implement strong inventory controls, partnering with field staff and operations to establish accurate counts and cost controls.
+ Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and financial standards. Serve as a liaison for external auditors and manage the audit process.
+ System Optimization: Identify and implement technology and process enhancements to drive efficiency and scalability for the accounting function.
+ Team Development: Mentor, develop, and inspire the accounting team to deliver high-performance results in a fast-paced work environment.
What You’ll Bring
+ Experience: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management / supervisory role.
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred.
+ Technical Skills: Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting systems. Familiarity with inventory and project accounting is a strong plus.
+ Leadership: Proven track record of managing and mentoring an accounting team with a focus on collaboration and efficiency.
+ Technology Savviness: Proficiency with financial software and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
+ Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities to effectively interact with stakeholders across all levels.
