Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a Contract-to-permanent opportunity, ideal for someone eager to expand their expertise in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

• Assist with billing tasks, ensuring all invoices are prepared and sent out correctly.

• Support accounts receivable functions, including monitoring outstanding payments and following up with clients.

• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Input and manage data related to invoices, payments, and other accounting activities.

• Ensure proper processing of invoices and resolve any discrepancies.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and analyze reports, leveraging tools such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

• Collaborate with the team to maintain compliance with accounting standards and procedures.

• Operate Sage MAS 90 software for accounting tasks, ensuring data accuracy.

• Contribute to general administrative tasks to support the accounting department. Requirements • Proven experience or educational background in accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

• Familiarity with accounting software, specifically Sage MAS 90.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation tasks.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of invoice processing and general accounting principles.

• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaboration.
