Position Summary

The Department of Medicine is seeking Advanced Practice Partners, Gastroenterology to join their team!

The position will provide services at Grady Health System, Gastroenterology Service.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Georgia License as a Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required

• Current American Heart Association ( AHA ) Basic Life Support ( BLS ) certification is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Gastroenterology

• Physician Assistant is preferred

• Experience with nutrition therapy

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

The Advanced Practice Partner ( APP ) (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) will primarily perform diagnosing, orders, conducts, supervises and interprets diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.

The APP promotes health and the prevention of illness and injury. The APP practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professional to treat and manage patient health problems. The role of the APP includes, direct patient/family care, consultation, research, patient/families/ groups/ and communities advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership & professional development.

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment.
