Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Schererville, Indiana. In this role, you will oversee the preparation and review of complex tax filings, manage client relationships, and provide strategic tax planning advice. This position offers opportunities for skill development and leadership within a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role will offer a starting annual salary between 90K-120K plus bonus and benefits including a generous PTO policy, health insurance and 401K.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review intricate individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy across federal, state, and local filings.
• Oversee multiple client accounts, ensuring timely submission of tax documents and maintaining compliance standards.
• Engage directly with clients to gather pertinent information, resolve tax-related concerns, and offer expert guidance.
• Identify and implement tax planning strategies to optimize client savings and minimize liabilities.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis on tax regulations and emerging issues.
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws to ensure compliance and enhance client strategies.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver comprehensive financial services and maintain high-quality client satisfaction.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Enrolled Agent designation is required.
• Proven ability to sign and prepare tax returns with current certification.
• Minimum of five years of tax experience, including at least two years in a senior or leadership role.
• In-depth understanding of tax codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including QuickBooks and CCH Sales Tax.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate clearly with clients.
