• Help Desk Administrator

    Robert Half Technology (Galveston, TX)


    Description

    As a growing organization, we rely on a strong and responsive IT team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. We are currently looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Help Desk Administrator to join our team and take charge of our user support systems and help desk operations.

     

    + Administer and monitor the help desk ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of support requests

    + Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries related to computer systems, software, hardware, and networks

    + Prioritize and escalate issues to appropriate IT staff when necessary

    + Maintain accurate documentation of user issues, system changes, and resolutions

    + Manage user account setup and maintenance (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, etc.)

    + Perform software installations, updates, and system configurations

    + Monitor IT asset inventory and assist with equipment deployment and tracking

    + Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees

    + Generate reports on help desk metrics and identify trends for improvement

    + Maintain IT knowledge base and create user guides and FAQs

    Requirements

    + Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience

    + 2+ years of experience in a help desk or IT support role

    + Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365 environments

    + Experience with help desk software (e.g., Zendesk, Freshservice, ServiceNow)

    + Understanding of Active Directory, user account management, and permissions

    + Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

    + Customer service-oriented mindset and attention to detail
