    Job Description

    Job Summary:

    The duties of this position are performed to cut the honeycomb blocks into individual sheets and to stack for storage or package for shipping.

    Summary of Duties:

    Retrieve honeycomb block from storage using forklift.

     

    Place block on core saw table and secure per the processing specifications.

     

    Operate the saw to cut the specified sheets thickness.

     

    Check thickness of the sheet per instructions.

     

    Label the sheets with the required lot number using the appropriate labeling method.

     

    Place sheets on carts or pallets for storage or shipping.

     

    Other tasks include completion of production documentation, quality control and housekeeping activities.

     

    Requires little to no experience, but requires willingness to learn and perform to standard expectations.

     

    Conducts routine tasks as directed

     

    Minimal supervision with some latitude for independent judgment

     

    Participate in operational improvement activities

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications:

    Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

     

    Experience: Prior manufacturing experience preferred

    Computer Skills:

    Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). All employees are expected to utilize company email and other company business applications.

    Other Skills:

    Must be willing to work as a team member

     

    Effective oral and written communications skills

     

    Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail

     

    Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate.

    Additional Preferred Skills:

    Forklift operation certification and operation may be required.

     

    Position requires some heavy lifting with mechanical and human assistance
