Your Role at KIK

If so, we invite you to apply for the Planner/Scheduler position at our company, where your expertise will be pivotal in driving operational excellence.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules based on demand forecasts, safety stock levels, and projected reliability for each production line. You will determine appropriate safety stock levels for high-volume items to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure uninterrupted production flow. Additionally, you will analyze sales forecasts, historical sales data, and new business opportunities to optimize production capacity utilization across all lines.
Your ability to identify potential risks associated with the production schedule, including raw material inventory shortages and shipment delays, will be crucial. You will monitor actual output versus the production schedule daily, making necessary adjustments to maintain adherence to timelines and quality standards. Collaboration will be key as you work closely with the Filling Room Manager during downtime to assess and adjust the production schedule accordingly.

What You’ll Be Doing
+ Create Production schedule based on demand, forecasts, safety stock levels and projected reliability for each production line.
+ Determine safety stock levels for high volume items and schedule production accordingly.
+ Utilize production capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, historical sales, and new business opportunities.
+ Analyze and identify risks associated with the production schedule based on raw material inventory and shipments.
+ Monitor actual output versus the production schedule daily to determine if changes need to be made to the schedule.
+ Coordinate with Filling Room Manager during downtime to identify if changes need to be made to the production schedule.
+ Coordinate with Project Management Team regarding discontinuation or changes of items to streamline raw material run outs and conversions.
+ In conjunction with Supply Chain Planner analyze component/raw material supply and address vendor constraints and determine the appropriate levels of safety stock for raw materials & components to minimize lead times.
+ Identify gaps and drive solutions, including a metric for production performance to the requested production schedule Support the S&OP process meetings to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications.
+ Assist in the resolution of MRP and planning discrepancies and recommend tool improvement and new tool implementation including new computer driven technology.
+ Identify Key Performance Indicators and put processes in place to measure, improve and communicate.
+ Work as a part of a team ensuring that both verbal and written communication is strong, and all are involved.
What You’ll Bring
+ Experience scheduling production lines in a manufacturing environment is a plus
+ Proficient with Microsoft applications – strong understanding of Excel
+ Must be detail oriented with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, complexity and work within a fast paced, dynamic environment
+ Extremely proactive and forward thinking with exceptional analytical skills and ability to identify issues and proactively plan to satisfy requirements
+ Understanding of planning constraints and their impact on the daily and long-term schedule
+ Demonstrate a high level of accountability and ownership of processes and plans
+ Ability to work independently and have a customer focused mindset. Experience in Customer Service is a plus.
+ Understanding of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes
