We are seeking a **Lenel System Administrator 2** to join our **Security and Electronic Systems (SES)** business Unit. As part of **(SES)** Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
The LENEL System Administrator will be responsible for configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining large enterprise LENEL systems.
Duties include:
+ Provide daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly system administration tasks to maintain high availability of a Lenel based access control system
+ Verify and maintain system backups
+ Perform Windows Server and Lenel system administration tasks
+ Provide training and support to system users
+ Perform daily system health checks
+ Dispatch, troubleshooting, and testing with technicians for current or new system installations
+ Provide suggestions for system enhancements
+ Work with engineering and integrators on new system design
+ Provide tier II/III support for customer issues reported through the help desk
+ Proper documentation of system programming
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Punctuality, attendance, a willingness to learn, and an ability to work well with others are key to success in this role.
+ Manage physical security system support to meet service level agreements.
+ Analyze physical security system performance and recommend improvements.
+ Resolve complex system issues for physical security systems and networks.
+ Triage customer support calls, providing Tier 1 help desk support and Tier 2 escalation.
+ Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and technical specialists.
+ Train system users and other system support personnel.
+ Analyze and modify preventive maintenance checklists for system changes.
+ Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective actions.
+ Perform preventive maintenance actions including system back-ups, error log reviews, database size, and integrity checks.
+ Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis.
+ Perform desktop hardware and operating system set-up, imaging software loading, and antivirus updates.
+ Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision.
Qualifications
Clearance/Citizen Type:** Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; **ACTIVE SECRET Clearance is REQUIRED
Education:
+ 2+ Years of Experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity preferred
+ 6+ Years of Experience with an Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity preferred
+ 8+ Years of Experience with a High School Diploma
Required Progressive Experience:
+ Requires system administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system. problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, implementing new workstations, and system extensions.
+ Requires an understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
+ Requires a basic knowledge of Windows active directory hierarchy and implementation.
+ Requires a basic knowledge of large scale networking, VLANS and routing.
+ Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer.
+ Requires the ability to work flexible shifts that may include occasional nights, weekends and holidays.
+ Requires a Security + Certification.
+ Knowledge of Lenel architectures and hardware.
+ Experience troubleshooting and maintaining Microsoft Windows Servers and workstations.
Desired / Advantageous Qualifications:
+ Experience in Lenel OnGuard required with an active certification preferred
+ Familiarity with low voltage systems preferred
+ Microsoft SQL Server Query writing and management experience desired.
+ Experience programming/administrating Access Control Systems of any type desired.
+ Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and testing of security electronics equipment desired.
