    FACULTY POSITION DEPARTMENT OF SURGERY DIVISION OF SURGICAL ONCOLOGY The University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks candidates to join the full-time faculty of the Division of General and Oncologic Surgery, at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Candidates should be board certified in Oncologic Surgery or currently in training in an accredited Oncologic Surgery fellowship program. Responsibilities will include establishing a broad Oncologic Surgery practice at University of Maryland Medical Center, conducting independent clinical or laboratory research, providing care to complex surgical oncology patients at the Downtown Campus, contributing to the comprehensive growth of surgical oncology throughout the Medical System, and education of medical students, surgery residents, and fellows. Candidates should have a clear plan for clinical practice building, academic development, and scholarly activity that is consistent with the mission of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training or previous experience in breast surgery.The School of Medicine is located in downtown Baltimore, Maryland, near the famous Inner Harbor and Camden Yards. This salary range does not include all components of the DEPARTMENTAL faculty compensation program or pay from participation in DEPARTMENTAL variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
