Job Title: Civil CAD Designer

Job Description:

Our client looking for a Civil Engineer/Designer to work in their Berkley, MI office on a variety of sports and recreation projects, for mainly K-12 projects in Southeast Michigan. This person will provide site analysis, conceptual design, production of construction documents, and project presentation graphics. This position is ideal for candidates that are willing to learn, grow and enhance their professional skills and advance professionally in the long term.

DAY-TO-DAY:

+ Design from Conceptual Design through Construction using AutoCAD 2D daily for the drafting/design.

+ Prepare project document plans and reports for projects

+ Partner with the design team for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical aspects of projects

+ Communicate effectively with clients and other team members to resolve technical project issues

+ Present and explain designs and provide service to meet client’s goals

+ Participate with other members of the design team to finalize project documents

+ Reviews and responds to construction related RFIs and submittals

+ Will use Civil 3D sparingly for integration of the 2D drawings into the full design packages

+ Will use Adobe Creative Suite sparingly for drawing renderings

They have hybrid flexibility, and ideally would like someone to come to their office 2-3 days/week, but they are flexible.

Must haves:

+ 1-5 years of AutoCAD 2D CAD Design/Drafting experience

+ 1-5 years of Civil Engineering/Design experience

+ Experience with schematic design, design development, and construction documents

+ Knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards

Bonus/ Additional Skills:

Civil 3D experience or knowledge

Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture

Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Adobe Acrobat knowledge

Experience with Land Development projects

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
