Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to solve complex problems through design, analysis, and documentation. In this role, you will work closely with our sales and manufacturing teams to develop practical solutions to customer challenges, ensuring that your designs are manufacturable. You will have the unique opportunity to see your creations come to life, witnessing every step of the process.

Responsibilities

+ Prove designs are robust enough to withstand the demands of industries such as construction, rigging, mining, and offshore through Finite Element Analysis and calculations.

+ Participate in a peer review team to ensure the production of best-in-class designs.

+ Utilize SolidWorks software for engineering and detailing designs, PDM software for maintaining documentation/records, and ERP software for defining the manufacturing process of components and assemblies.

+ Contribute to a manufacturing support team, troubleshooting production concerns while supporting continuous improvements and corrective actions through Engineering Change Notices.

+ Contribute to the expansion of the engineering knowledge base and team growth, assisting in talent development by participating in training sessions and mentoring less experienced personnel.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in SolidWorks and Finite Element Analysis using SolidWorks Simulation.

+ Experience with PTC Mathcad and Microsoft Excel.

+ Knowledge of metal manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, and heat treatment.

+ Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field.

+ 5+ years of SolidWorks design experience.

+ Experience working in a metal manufacturing industry.

+ Simulation experience with FEA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $51.00/hr.
