    Electrical Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and general maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems in plant/production machinery. The ideal candidate will ensure that all equipment runs efficiently and meets operational requirements while adhering to safety and company policies.

    Responsibilities

    + Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical problems of plant machinery.

    + Perform maintenance functions and troubleshoot to correct inefficiencies and prevent equipment downtime by completing regular PMs.

    + Ensure the maintenance and preventive maintenance of corrugating plant process equipment to achieve world-class results.

    + Work within specifications and drawings, ensuring completion and minimizing waste within set dates and times.

    + Collaborate with the maintenance crew to carry out maintenance and repair projects in mechanical, fabrication, plumbing, and welding functions.

    + Follow all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents, or incidents immediately, and complete online safety training each month as assigned.

    + Other corrective and preventive maintenance duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of technical school education and experience.

    + Minimum of 6 months of paper corrugator/manufacturing experience required.

    + Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including hardware, software configuration, and troubleshooting.

    + Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot various pneumatic, hydraulic systems, PLCs, and motors.

    + Strong maintenance, plumbing, and electrical experience in AC/DC motor control, troubleshooting, and electrical wiring codes.

    + Experience with electrical troubleshooting, including 480V, PLCs, VFDs, relays, 3-phase motors, and Allen Bradley PLCs.

    + Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable with strong time management skills.

    + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    + Strong attention to detail and a strong work ethic with an emphasis on safety.

    + Computer competence and experience with the Microsoft suite.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of technical school education and experience.

    + Knowledge of computer and automated machines.

    + Ability to function as a mature, professional individual who interacts positively with teammates.

    + Willingness to function effectively in a team environment and tackle any task required for the success of the team.

    + High school diploma or GED.

    Work Environment

     

    Currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Technicians work 5 days a week with Sundays off and one other set day off during the week. The work schedule includes: 1st shift hours: 6:30 am - 3 pm, 2nd shift hours: 2:30 pm - 11 pm, and 3rd shift hours: 10:30 pm - 7 am. Overtime is available. Required tools include steel toe shoes (provided by the employee), hearing protection, safety glasses, and a radio (provided by the employer). This role requires adherence to safety protocols and proper use of equipment.

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
