Job Title: Lead Carpenter Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Lead Carpenter Technician, where you'll play a crucial role in constructing and repairing modular office units used on job sites. This position offers a permanent placement in a growing team, contributing to new construction projects and office outfitting and repairs in the field.

Responsibilities

+ Construct and assemble modular office units according to blueprints and specifications.

+ Manage crews, set daily expectations, and tasks.

+ Manage crew performance to adhere to production goals.

+ Install walls, floors, ceilings, and other structural components.

+ Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.

+ Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.

+ Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to complete projects.

+ Perform maintenance and repairs on existing modular office units.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

+ Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience as a carpenter in commercial or residential construction.

+ Ability to plan daily work efficiently.

+ Experience managing a crew of tradespeople.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

+ Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or vocational training program.

+ Proven experience in modular construction.

+ Good physical stamina and strength.

+ Effective communication and teamwork skills.

+ Reliable transportation.

Work Environment

Work takes place from Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 2:00 pm. The role involves working in the yard or covered trailers within the production area. Candidates will be part of a team of 6-8 production associates, and will be cross-trained on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as necessary. The environment emphasizes safety and adherence to protocols, with a focus on maintaining a clean workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Halfmoon, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
