Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the delivery of primary health care and patient care management. Your responsibilities will include performing nursing and administrative duties, preparing patients for examinations and treatments, and ensuring the smooth
operation of the medical office. A diploma from a Medical Assistant program is required. While certification is not mandatory, it is highly preferred.
We also offer opportunities for non-certified medical assistants to obtain certification and receive training through our company!
*Certification not required, will help get certification while employed*
Responsibilities
+ Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
+ Take patient vital signs, review medications and allergies, and enter health information into EMR (WebChart).
+ Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
+ Assist in rooming patients and maintaining sterilized supplies and equipment.
+ Support physicians and physician assistants in preparing for medical procedures.
+ Verify patients by date of birth and full name.
+ Perform medical procedures and accompanying paperwork.
+ Promote the office discharge process by scheduling tests and appointments, and managing lab orders and prescriptions.
+ Triage telephone calls for referral to physicians or nurse practitioners.
+ Experience taking vital signs and providing patient care.
+ Knowledge of insurance billing procedures.
+ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or equivalent.
+ Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood collection.
+ Experience with EMR systems, specifically WebChart.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Completion of Medical Assistant schooling.
+ Certifications such as CMA, CCMA, RMA, AAMA, NHA, or equivalent in good standing.
+ Specialty Clinic Experience is a plus.
+ Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to act calmly and effectively in busy or stressful situations.
Work Environment
+ Schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Off on Sat/Sun.
+ Candidates should be prepared to take on various tasks as needed and must maintain a professional demeanor.
+ This position includes a 6-week training program rotating throughout all pods/providers.
+ The work environment is fast-paced, and adherence to policies for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal professional appearance is required.
+ *Medical Assistant diploma is Required. Certification is NOT required but preferred. Will help get CCMA Certification after training period!*

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $24.00/hr.
