    Job Description

    We are seeking a SCADA Software Developer specializing in AVEVA and OSI PI systems. This role involves remote work with potential travel up to 25% for client meetings or deployments. The SCADA Engineer will design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems to monitor and control various industrial processes, collaborating with clients and stakeholders to develop tailored solutions.

    Responsibilities

    + Design and develop SCADA systems using software suites such as InTouch, System Platform, AVEVA Historian, and OSI PI.

    + Configure and program SCADA software to manage industrial processes including manufacturing, energy, mining, and utilities.

    + Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and develop solutions.

    + Install, configure, and troubleshoot SCADA software and components such as PLCs, ensuring proper integration with existing infrastructure.

    + Integrate SCADA systems with historians for data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.

    + Develop custom scripts using JavaScript, Python, VBScript, etc., to enhance system functionality and performance.

    + Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure accurate functioning of SCADA systems.

    + Perform system upgrades and modifications adhering to industry best practices.

    + Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving system issues promptly.

    + Participate in training sessions to stay updated with the latest advancements in SCADA technologies.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

    + Strong knowledge of SCADA systems and integration with various data sources.

    + Experience with AVEVA software products, including System Platform, Operations Control, InTouch, and Predictive Analytics.

    + Proficiency in computer networking architectures, topologies, and hardware.

    + Programming experience in languages such as JavaScript, Visual Basic, or C#.

    + Familiarity with operational data historians like AVEVA and OSI PI.

    + Experience with industry-standard communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA/DA, DNP3, and TCP/IP.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with OSI PI architecture and integration with SCADA systems.

    + Ability to identify and implement automation for improved user experience.

    + Experience with system integration using data access methods like JSON, REST, and XML.

    + Capability to set up SQL databases and create custom SQL queries.

    Work Environment

    Most of the work is conducted remotely, with potential travel up to 25% to customer sites for meetings or deployments. Engineers may work with a variety of innovative technologies as portfolios continue to grow, within a dynamic environment that fosters growth and learning.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $54.00 - $77.00/hr.
