Job Title: Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Inspector to oversee the quality of materials and parts throughout all stages of production. The role involves the inspection of incoming materials, parts in process, and final inspection of finished products. You will utilize precision measuring tools, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), blueprints, and customer specifications to ensure the highest quality standards. Documentation of inspections will be required both manually and through computer systems using Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with internal P&A systems. Collaboration with various department supervisors and managers on quality control projects and initiatives is an integral part of this role. Non-conformance reports must be completed for any parts that do not meet quality criteria.

Responsibilities

+ Inspect materials and parts during all phases of production.

+ Utilize precision measuring tools, CMM, blueprints, and customer specifications to ensure quality.

+ Document inspections and complete paperwork both manually and on computer systems.

+ Collaborate with department supervisors and managers on quality control projects.

+ Complete non-conformance reports for parts not meeting quality criteria.

Essential Skills

+ Dimensional inspection

+ Blueprint reading

+ Proficient use of calipers and micrometers

+ Visual inspection

+ Documentation skills

+ Experience with precision measuring tools

+ CMM operation

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience as a quality inspector in a manufacturing environment

+ Proficiency in using Excel and computer systems for documentation

Work Environment

Work in a clean and organized shop that combines production welding and fabrication. Our facility manufactures sheet metal products, predominantly for the automotive and exercise equipment industries. Regular hours are from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Clackamas, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
