Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

As a Production Worker, you will assist with setting up and operating extrusion machines. Your responsibilities include using wrenches and impact wrenches to set up or change out machine parts, loading raw materials into containers, and utilizing a sit-down forklift to replenish raw materials from inventory. You will also be tasked with cleaning equipment when parts are changed.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate extrusion machines using hand and power tools.

+ Load raw materials into containers that feed the machines.

+ Use a sit-down forklift to retrieve raw materials from inventory.

+ Clean equipment when changing out machine parts.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in production and machine operation.

+ Ability to operate a forklift.

+ Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with plastics extrusion and injection mold processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 6+ months experience using hand and power tools such as drills and wrenches.

+ Willingness to train on forklift operation.

+ Experience handling raw materials and compounding is a plus.

Work Environment

You will work in a temperature-controlled environment with shifts available as follows: 1st shift from 6am to 2pm (Mon-Fri), 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm (Mon-Fri), and 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am (Sun-Thurs). The facility spans 100,000 sq ft and each shift consists of five operators, a lead, and a supervisor. Please note that steel toe shoes/boots are required along with jeans or work pants and a t-shirt or long sleeve shirt. Employees may need to be clean-shaven for respirator use on certain lines. Possible weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
