    Job Title: Machinist

    Job Description

    As a Machinist, you will be responsible for calculating dimensions and tolerances using your knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers. You will detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust the machine within its capabilities, ensuring the quality of production. Additionally, you will align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.

    Responsibilities

    + Load parts and prove out CNC programs.

    + Operate controls and set offsets.

    + Perform simple edits and deburring.

    + Inspect quality parts for conformance to requirements.

    + Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials for manufacturing machinery work.

    + Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.

    + Machine parts to specifications using manual machine tools such as Bridgeport mills, EDM machines, and Grinders (ID/OD/Surface).

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.

    + Experience with lathe and mill operations.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Knowledge of manual machining processes.

    + Familiarity with Haas and other machining equipment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Fadal lathe.

    + Prototrak lathe and mill expertise.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
