    Job Description

    As a Technician, you will diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment, complete necessary preventive maintenance, and perform repairs and rebuilds on various plant and process equipment. This includes pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and other related equipment. You will also be responsible for repairing, rebuilding, and replacing hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, understanding flow controls, and demonstrating mechanical and electrical aptitude.

    Responsibilities

    + Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment.

    + Perform necessary preventive maintenance on plant and process equipment.

    + Repair and rebuild various equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves.

    + Handle hydraulic and pneumatic equipment repairs and replacements.

    + Understand and apply knowledge of flow controls.

    + Demonstrate mechanical and electrical skills for troubleshooting and repairs.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

    + Experience with preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs.

    + Ability to use tools such as multimeters and voltmeters.

    + Industrial and food electronics knowledge.

    + SAP system experience.

    + Electrical troubleshooting skills, including PLC and Allen Bradley systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.

    + Physical ability to stand, walk, and climb up to four flights of stairs for extended periods.

    + Proficiency in reading and writing English.

    + High level of welding, electrical, or mechanical skills is a plus.

    + Flexibility to work various shifts based on plant and business needs.

    Work Environment

     

    The work schedule consists of rotating shifts from 6pm to 6am, with rotating days off including one four-day weekend off a month. The environment can vary from hot to cold in different areas. Employees receive a shift differential for working from 6pm to 6am. The second shift runs from 3pm to 11:30pm.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.93 - $30.40/hr.
