Job Title: Machinist Lead
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machinist Lead to provide hands-on leadership and coaching to our team. This role involves cross-training employees, identifying value-added activities, and eliminating non-value-added activities. The Machinist Lead will assist in training new employees, ensuring quality production, and maintaining effective communication with team members and management.
Responsibilities
+ Provide leadership through ongoing coaching and cross-training.
+ Train team members to identify Value Added and Non-Value Added activities.
+ Assist in the initial and ongoing training of new employees.
+ Provide input in the evaluation and development of team members.
+ Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to solve problems.
+ Maintain communication with team members to convey concerns and ideas.
+ Fill in for team members during continuous improvement activities or absences.
+ Execute production schedules and monitor supplies and materials.
+ Attend department meetings to discuss customer requirements and quality.
+ Address quality concerns and conduct training sessions as needed.
+ Facilitate continuous improvement projects and maintain standard work sheets.
+ Ensure a safe working environment and maintain 6S standards.
Essential Skills
+ Blueprint reading
+ Changeover management
+ Machine operation
+ Programming skills
+ 2+ years as a Team Lead in manufacturing, especially in machining
+ Experience with CNC machinery and G & M programming
+ Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
+ Leadership skills and ability to train and mentor team members
+ Attention to detail and accuracy using measuring tools and understanding of metrology
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a skilled machining environment
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $66560.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Florence,KY.
