    Job Description

    The Shop Foreman is responsible for supervising and managing a team of five shop fabricators and a shop painter to achieve production goals. This role involves monitoring scheduling, interacting with engineers, and reading prints. The foreman communicates with fabricators to accurately produce equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities also include fabricating machinery using MIG welding and manufacturing finished metal products.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise and manage a team of five shop fabricators and a shop painter to achieve production goals.

    + Monitor scheduling and ensure timely completion of tasks.

    + Interact with engineers and read prints to ensure accuracy in production.

    + Communicate effectively with fabricators to maintain safety and quality standards.

    + Fabricate machinery using MIG welding techniques.

    + Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products according to specifications.

    + Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.

    + Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.

    + Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of supervisory experience.

    + 10+ years of experience in welding, including MIG welding.

    + Proficiency in the fabrication of metal products.

    + Ability to follow blueprints and meet product specifications.

    + Familiarity with welding tools and procedures.

    + Familiarity with engineering blueprints.

    + Ability to handle physical workload.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in job shop or other related fields.

    + Strong management skills.

    + Ability to troubleshoot overhead cranes and climb at different heights.

    + Skill in layout and print reading.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.
