    Job Description

    This role encompasses responsibility and authority for aerospace Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) product quality, ensuring compliance with FAA/EASA/CAA Part 145 Repair Station standards. The Quality Assurance Specialist will interface directly with the FAA Flight Standards District Office, manage supplier and customer interactions on quality matters, and uphold compliance with various quality standards including FAA/EASA/CAA, AS9100/ISO. The position requires conducting internal audits and maintaining quality records, manufacturer engine manuals, airworthiness directives, and related documents.

    Responsibilities

    + Interface directly with the FAA Flight Standards District Office on all FAA/EASA/CAA matters.

    + Manage supplier and customer interactions concerning Repair Station quality issues.

    + Ensure compliance with FAA/EASA/CAA, AS9100/ISO quality standards and conduct internal audits.

    + Maintain quality records, manufacturer engine manuals, FAA/EASA/CAA regulations, and airworthiness directives.

    + Review and approve purchase orders/contracts and supplier certifications.

    + Respond to customer requests for corrective/preventive actions, ensuring non-conformances are resolved.

    + Conduct supplier evaluations and audits.

    + Assist with component inspections, preparation of teardown reports, and quality documentation packages.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in aerospace Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) quality systems.

    + Excellent understanding of geometric dimensioning, tolerancing, gaging systems, measurement techniques, and manufacturing methods.

    + Proficiency in FAA/EASA/CAA, AS9100/ISO quality systems.

    + Strong technical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + In-depth knowledge of aerospace Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) operations.

    + Familiarity with FAA/EASA/CAA Part 145 Repair Station requirements and airworthiness directives.

    Work Environment

    The role operates within an aerospace Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) setting, requiring interaction with regulatory bodies and adherence to strict quality standards. The specialist will work closely with quality personnel and suppliers, and contribute to maintaining rigorous quality documentation.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $40.00/hr.
