Job Title: Industrial EngineerJob Description
The Industrial Engineer will serve as a problem-solver, change agent, resource, designer, and project manager. The role involves driving manufacturing initiatives, including Process Flows, Value Stream Mapping, 5S methodologies, and evaluating large data sets to provide streamlined processes and efficiencies for the plant.
Responsibilities
+ Drive manufacturing initiatives and improvements.
+ Implement Process Flows and Value Stream Mapping.
+ Apply 5S methodologies to optimize processes.
+ Evaluate and analyze large data sets to identify efficiencies.
+ Manage projects related to process improvements and manufacturing enhancements.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in industrial engineering and continuous improvement methodologies.
+ Experience in process flow and time studies.
+ Expertise in Lean Six Sigma and manufacturing engineering.
+ Ability to conduct value stream mapping and process improvement.
+ Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD and project management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering.
+ 3+ years of experience in manufacturing.
+ Lean Six Sigma certification or experience.
Work Environment
The work environment is a large manufacturing facility of almost 500,000 square feet, primarily focused on producing sheet metal shelving units. The facility is older with some aged equipment and can be noisy due to fabrication and manufacturing lines. Engineers will primarily work on the manufacturing floor but have office spaces for meetings and desk work. The atmosphere is flexible with a casual dress code, and the company offers a variety of benefits including bonus potential, paid holidays, vacation, medical benefits, and career development programs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
