    Overview:

    Join our dynamic team supporting the U.S. operations of our Satellite Programs division, serving a diverse and expanding customer base across the Department of Defense (DoD), commercial, and civil space sectors. This role is pivotal in coordinating all technical disciplines involved in the development of mechanical structure products for advanced satellite systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering efforts for mechanical structure product development.

    + Manage and decompose customer requirements into subsystem-level specifications.

    + Oversee requirement verification and ensure traceability throughout the development lifecycle.

    + Prepare and release technical specifications for subsystems and subcontractors.

    + Drive and contribute to design trade studies and technology selection processes.

    + Analyze complex engineering challenges and develop innovative, requirement-compliant solutions.

    + Conduct concept and feasibility studies for new designs.

    + Evaluate and compare technical solutions, balancing multidisciplinary trade-offs to identify optimal approaches.

    + Author comprehensive technical documentation, including development and verification plans, specifications, and test plans.

    + Review engineering outputs and documentation, including manufacturing and technical drawings.

    + Support project managers in internal and external project meetings and design reviews.

    + Lead and participate in technical meetings and proposal development.

    + Serve as the primary technical liaison with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

    + Assist in technical negotiations and ensure alignment with project goals.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    + Strong background in mechanical engineering and structural analysis.

    + Proficiency in interpreting and managing client requirements.

    + Experience with manufacturing processes and engineering documentation.

    + Familiarity with SAP and root cause analysis methodologies.

    + In-depth knowledge of composite and metallic materials, including mechanical, structural, thermal, acoustic, and aerodynamic properties.

    + Experience in aerospace, satellite, DoD, or automotive industries.

    + Proficient in risk management and proposal development.

    + Skilled in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).

    + Strong awareness of cost and schedule constraints.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + SAP experience.

    + Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

    + Experience in proposal management and customer-facing technical roles.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $56.00/hr.
