    Job Title: Controls Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Controls Technician to join our team and help install automated systems for HVAC. This role is integral to ensuring the efficiency and functionality of building automation systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Install conduit and wiring for devices and controllers used in Building Automation Systems.

    + Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans.

    + Mount and connect control panels, sensors, actuators, and other field devices.

    + Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure installations meet design specifications.

    + Test and troubleshoot installed systems to verify proper operation.

    + Document work and maintain accurate records of installations and materials used.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with low-voltage electrical systems and control wiring.

    + Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

    + Familiarity with HVAC systems and building controls.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + 2+ years of experience as a Controls Technician.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Automation, Troubleshooting, PLC programming, Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical skills.

    + Experience with Siemens PLC, test, configure, and install building automation systems.

    + Leadership ability, self-starter, listening skills, communication skills.

    + Ownership of a reliable car capable of driving 60-80 miles a day without issue.

    Work Environment

     

    Projects are located throughout Nebraska, including Grand Island, Beatrice, Yutan, Omaha, and Norfolk. Work primarily takes place on commercial job sites, with school projects being very common. The role involves travel, with company-covered road expenses and stipends for long-distance driving. Enjoy the benefits of meals and hotel accommodations for overnight stays.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
