    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    A typical day in this position involves cycle counts, data entry, forklift driving, saw operation, and ensuring efficient use of computer systems. Safety is of utmost importance and is prioritized at all times.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.

    + Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.

    + Handle materials and assist in the warehouse operations.

    + Perform data entry and utilize computer systems effectively.

    + Operate saws and other equipment as needed.

    + Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

    Essential Skills

    + Forklift operation experience.

    + Strong computer knowledge and math skills, including the ability to read measurements using a ruler.

    + Experience in material handling and inventory control.

    + 1+ years of warehouse and production experience in a metals or manufacturing-related facility.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED required.

    + Experience with packing, production, and order picking.

    + Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.

    + Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and pallet jack.

    + General labor experience is advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a production facility within a warehouse setting, with high expectations for production numbers and efficiencies. The facility employs 150-160 full-time employees. Dress code includes jeans, t-shirt, steel-toed shoes, and PPE provided by the company. Shifts are organized as follows: 1st shift (6am-2pm), 2nd shift (2pm-10pm), 3rd shift (10pm-6am).

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20/hr.
