    Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

    Job Description

    As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing refrigeration units on trucks, trailers, and other transport vehicles. You will play a crucial role in ensuring these units operate efficiently and reliably, supporting the transportation and logistics sectors.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engine powered refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and refrigerant lines.

    + Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure refrigeration units operate efficiently.

    + Troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, and control panels.

    + Repair and maintain diesel engines that power refrigeration units.

    + Perform leak detection procedures and refrigerant recharges.

    + Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

    + Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in diesel engine maintenance and repair.

    + Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration systems.

    + Mechanical repair skills.

    + Knowledge of transport refrigeration.

    + Experience in troubleshooting and repair of diesel engines.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Diesel mechanic experience required.

    + Transport refrigeration experience is a plus.

    + EPA Refrigeration Certifications are not required but considered an advantage.

    Work Environment

The position operates on a day shift from Monday to Friday with flexible start times between 7am-6pm. You must be willing to be on call 3-4 days per month, offering the benefit of double time if called in.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richland, Mississippi.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
