    Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

    Job Description

    The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for overseeing quality activities related to porcine islets, encapsulated islet combination products, and their components. This role involves identifying and assessing regulatory and quality risks in processes and activities, managing the Quality Management Systems (QMS), master validation plans, and the continuous improvement program. The specialist will support both large and small scale projects, ensuring compliance with safety and labeling standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Identify and assess regulatory and quality risks in processes and activities.

    + Manage the Quality Management Systems (QMS), master validation plans, and continuous improvement program.

    + Support both large and small scale projects, ensuring compliance with safety and labeling standards.

    + Write, review, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    + Conduct internal and vendor audits and inspections.

    + Assist the document control team as needed.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's or Master's degree in science.

    Work Environment

    This position is based in a new biosecure research facility with a team-oriented and collaborative environment. After training, the role allows for remote work up to 2 days a week. The facility conducts animal research (IACUC), and the role requires a willingness to undergo yearly biosecurity tests, such as blood and stool tests. Candidates must be comfortable working in this environment and should not have direct contact or family connections with pigs

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
