    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    The role is based in the pet department where you will focus primarily on grinding, dicing, and working with raw and cooked meat each day. This position is a flex role, allowing you to support not only the Pet platform but also learn various operations across different business units to build a broad range of capabilities for future development.

    Responsibilities

    + Safely operate equipment, understand food safety requirements, and perform risk assessments.

    + Operate mixing and grinding equipment, following COHE procedures and using hand tools and instructions for equipment assembly.

    + Conduct basic analytical quality tests, including moisture content tests using NIR and temperature readings with a thermometer.

    + Demonstrate agility and flexibility to work across teams within a platform as work needs shift.

    + Perform equipment sanitation and basic equipment setup activities.

    + Apply basic technical skills in product, process, and packaging.

    + Lift, manipulate, and transport ingredients or equipment consistently, up to 55 lbs.

    Essential Skills

    + Basic production experience, with a preference for food production experience.

    + Experience with food science, food quality, and food GMPs.

    + Strong knowledge and background in analytical instrumentation and data analysis.

    + Ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Proficiency in PC skills, including Word and Excel.

    + Capability to work and communicate with individuals from technical, production, and other backgrounds.

    Work Environment

     

    The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6 AM to 2 PM. The assignment length is around six months, with the possibility of extending to 12 months while applying for internal roles. The environment is 100% production and research-based, with strong standard operating procedures, offering a great opportunity to learn quality testing skills and explore research production opportunities. Please note that this position involves potential exposure to common allergens, including milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, and sesame.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
