    Minimum qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

    + 8 years of experience in program management.

    Preferred qualifications:

    + MBA and/or technical degree.

    + 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

    + Experience with scripting and/or business tool development using SQL or Python.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication, and analytical skills. Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

    + Exceptional skills influencing, and delivering solutions in a highly complex, always changing, and nebulous environment.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

     

    As a Technical Program Manager for Resource Management / Central Fleet, you will be central to the advancement of Google’s mission to catalog the world’s information at a global scale. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional programs aimed at solving some of Google’s most challenging problems in cloud computing and pushing the leading edge of modern operations management.

     

    You will work directly with Google’s physical supply chain, data center planning, and software engineering teams to design, deploy, and manage the systems that are used to optimize Google’s immense fleet of shared compute and storage resources.

     

    In this role, you will be acting as a combination: project/program manager, product designer, operations ninja, change management diplomat.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     + Manage a portfolio of projects related to fleet efficiency, resource stranding, reverse supply chain, and other fleet priorities.

    + Translate new supply chain capabilities into cost reduction initiatives or user facing feature improvements. Work with Software Engineering partners to manage product roadmaps and priorities.

    + Support subsequent operations and analytic projects related to supply chain management and capacity planning needs for computing resources

    + Work with partner teams to manage, launch and deliver projects related to process re-design around demand and supply-side compute resource management.

    + Play a key role in the advancement of strategy, policy, and supporting tools for operations. Provide scripting or tool development as necessary.
