About this Job
This vacancy is located in the Psychology Department of Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System in Jackson, LA (East Feliciana Parish). ELMHS is the largest 24-hour, multi-site, state psychiatric complex, comprised of residential, outpatient and inpatient services.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice psychology followed by one year of experience in psychological research, testing, or counseling.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Provides or coordinates psychological services for a treatment, rehabilitation, research program or training school
Trains and advises other staff in implementing special treatment or rehabilitative programs.
Provides technical consultation and/or coordination of services to interdisciplinary staff.
Designs and implements programs involving the application of behavior modification principles and techniques.
Plans and conducts approved research within a program compatible with agency needs and goals.
Prepares research reports.
Provides technical consultation to staff relative to research and program evaluation.
Performs psychological diagnoses and treatment; and participates as a member of a patient treatment unit in staff discussions of patient diagnosis, treatment and progress.
Administers or reviews results of the full range of diagnostic tests for psychological assessment, interprets results, and prepares psychological evaluations.
Conducts group, individual, family or other specialized psychotherapy with patients, clients, students or residents in an institutional or outpatient program.
Position-Specific Details:
Psychologist 3 has a Special Entrance Rate of$44.79 / hourly.
-Retention Pay of $1.00, and up to $5.00 for every hour worked.
-Premium Pay of $2.00 every hour worked.
