Pulp Operations Maintenance Coordinator
Position Description:
The Vicksburg Mill is a fully integrated pulp and paper manufacturing facility. The Pulp Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) position provides leadership and support to the Fibers Business Unit. Equipment in the area includes two continuous Kamyr digesters, brownstock washers, and all associated recausticizing and lime kiln equipment in the Caustic Plant and Woodyard Yard. The OMC is the link between department production and maintenance units. They interact with mill operations, maintenance, and management on a day-to-day basis while performing their duties. This position reports to the Pulp Business Unit Manager (BUM).
Position Responsibilities:
The Pulp OMC will work closely with a variety of different areas throughout the mill including operations, maintenance, technical, and management.
The Fibers OMC owns the manufacturing workflow process in the area, with three primary areas of responsibility:
_Manufacturing Work Systems (MWS)_
+ Facilitate all Manufacturing Work System (MWS) meetings – daily, planning meetings, weekly scheduling, outage planning
+ Own MWS metrics for the area, deliver Pacesetter quality performance or better
+ Manage SAP-PM notification review, approval, prioritization, and scheduling
+ Facilitate activities necessary to execute the maintenance daily schedule (e.g., lockouts, hot work permits, confined space permits, etc.) while considering the area’s maintenance budget
+ Review and manage work backlogs
+ Translate RCFA corrective actions into scheduled work
+ Act as gatekeeper for all break-in work
+ Set expectations for precision maintenance – Mechanical (MPM) and Instrumentation Electrical (IEPM)
_Outages_
+ Coordinate area’s field outages and annual outages
+ Develop field day and annual outage bar chart schedules
In addition, the Pulp OMC will do the following:
+ Support Pulp Mill department safety goals
+ Clearly communicate with maintenance and operations personnel
+ Support the Pulp Mill department as APM relief and weekend duty coverage
+ Utilize the MOC process
+ Understand and promote Manufacturing Excellence (ME) tools and processes
+ Support 5S programs

Required Experience:
The successful candidate will have at least three (3) years of experience in a fully integrated pulp and paper mill. Pulp Mill and Caustic Plant area experience and Woodyard experience are highly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience is required. Must be experienced using a computer and skilled in word processing, spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel), SAP business systems, and other databases. Position level may vary based on experience.
