Position Overview:
Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento is the foundation of Sutter Health, Northern California's largest health network with 29 acute care hospitals, more than 5,000 primary care physicians and specialists, home health, occupational health, psychiatric care and more. The downtown Sacramento medical center is made up of several facilities that include Ose Adams Medical Pavilion, Anderson Lucchetti Women's & Children's Center, and Sutter Center for Psychiatry.
Ose Adams Medical Pavilion
The 281-bed specialty medical center focuses on general acute medical/surgical care as well as a medical base to advanced services for cancer, orthopedics, spine, and neurology, and neurosurgery.
Anderson Lucchetti Women's & Children's Center
The 242-bed specialty medical center focuses on women's and children's specialty services and includes medical intensive care units for cardiac and neurological patients.
Responsible for the operations of the various local facilities departments and personnel assigned. Oversees the engineering/facilities management department under the supervision of hospital leadership and regional facilities leadership as applicable. Duties of this position but are not limited to, management of projects, oversees the management of life safety systems and documentation in accordance with applicable standards and codes set by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Oversees specified department staff in the general maintenance of the buildings and grounds. Participates in the preparation and administration of departmental capital and operating budgets.

EDUCATION:
+ _Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._
+ **Bachelor's:** Engineering or Business or related field.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
+ **12 years** recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
+ Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy and procedure manuals.
+ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
+ Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of algebra, plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
+ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, area circumference, and volume.
+ Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
+ Ability to use computer maintenance management software to process data and create reports and develop trending and manage budgets.
+ Ability to read blueprints, schematic diagrams, interpret instructions and prepare specifications.
+ Must have a working knowledge of electrical distribution and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) theory and application.
+ Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
+ The Director of Facilities has to have a broad and varied knowledge of applicable codes, standards and guidelines, equipment, tools, machines, test instruments, personal protective equipment, computers, and vehicles.

Pay Range is $71.33 to $106.99 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
