    Job Description Summary

    The Engineering Manager will oversee the transfer of a new production line (NPI) into State College. This role involves leading a team of engineers, managing projects, and collaborating with other departments to achieve production goals. Once the transfer is completed the Engineering Manager will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes and production efficiency of these products. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

    Job Description

    + **Leadership:** Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

    + **Project Management:** Plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

    + **Process Improvement:** Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.

    + **Production Focus:** Oversee and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency and output. Address production challenges and implement solutions to improve workflow.

    + **Technical Expertise:** Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, solving complex problems and making informed decisions.

    + **Collaboration:** Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.

    + **Compliance:** Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

    + **Reporting:** Track and report on key manufacturing metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

    + **Troubleshooting:** Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise in the manufacturing process, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.

    Required Qualifications

    + At least a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 10 years of experience in Medical Device manufacturing.

    + Ability to travel internationally and at least 30% of time

    + Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.

    + Developing expertise in own function. May include roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership . Influences policy and ensures delivery within area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization.

    + Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

    + May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Presents business or technical discipline solutions to leaders. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

    + In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

    + A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members
