    What You'll Do

    As a Staff Software Engineer specializing in Cloud infrastructure provisioning, deployment and security enablement, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our cloud infrastructure and services. You will leverage cutting-edge technologies to create innovative solutions and develop scalable models that integrate seamlessly into Teradata’s analytics platform.

    Who You'll Work With

    This is your chance to be a part of the Teradata Vantage provisioning and security deployment team acting as a key influencer and enabler into our Teradata on Vantage product strategies and offerings. You will be working with cloud architects, security teams, cross functional teams, product managers, operations and other stakeholders. You will be part of a dynamic environment where innovation and collaboration drive success.

    What You'll Bring

    + Design and develop and maintain scalable solutions for services and libraries that enable provisioning and runtime operations of the Teradata database and ecosystem components on supported public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

    + Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the provisioning and management of cloud resources to ensure high availability and security.

    + Security management: Understand importance of maintaining security posture of customer systems with experience in remediating vulnerabilities. It would be nice to have experience in developing automation scripts for installing security software, access controls, and monitoring tools on databases

    + Automation: Create and optimize automated processes for data ingestion, storage, and retrieval using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.

    + Collaborate with architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure integration requirements are met and business needs are met.

    + Implement solutions to challenging problems, focusing on scalability, security, cost efficiency, and performance. Ensure that all cloud solutions adhere to security standards and compliance requirements.

    + Participate in an agile development team, contributing to the success of Teradata’s culture.

    + Research new technologies to advance functionality within our product. Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and other solutions, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

    What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

    + Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    + Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure.

    + Solid understanding of architectural principles (e.g., Teradata Vantage, public cloud, networking, RESTful services, security, storage, compute, cloud container and Kubernetes services, IAM, distributed computing etc.).

    + Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), automation and technology tools (Terraform, docker, Kubernetes, Hashicorp, Ansible, salt etc.); strong problem-solving skills; excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Self-driven and able to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

    + Ability to work closely with peers in a group of talented engineers.

    Pay Rate: 132900.0000 - 166100.0000 - 199300.0000 Annually

     

    Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on geographic location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and candidate experience. Sales roles will be eligible for commission payments tied to quota achievement. All other permanent roles will be eligible for one of our annual incentive plans, which are based on company financial attainment and individual performance.
