    Insomniac produces 10,000 concerts, club nights and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe. The company's premiere annual event, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, is the world’s largest dance music festival and attracts more than 525,000 fans over three days. The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.

    THE ROLE

    Insomniac is looking for a Senior Event Accountant to support various critical operations including, close, reporting and analysis, audit support, forecasting of Fixed expenses and assist with show settlements, recording and analysis. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong accounting background, strong communication skills and be very well organized. This position reports to the Manager, Event Accounting.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Coordinate regularly with FP&A, Event Producers and Department Heads to validate event actuals in accordance with Post-Show Forecast in event Budget Master

    + Prepare and record journal entries in Oracle including intercompany activity, show settlements, accruals, reclasses and other activity where necessary to ensure actuals are in the correct Project / Accounting Unit / GL Account

    + Update expense section of Official Festival Status Checklist in accordance with percentage of reconciliation completed

    + Maintain Post-Show Forecast vs. Actuals variance analysis workbook for each event to ensure associated departmental costs are captured accurately and timely to meet 90 day post-show closeout deadline

    + Perform month-end close tasks as defined by management including preparation of journal entries in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements

    + Assist with special projects as assigned, including new initiatives implementation.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred

    + 4+ years of comparable experience required

    + 3+ years’ experience in financial statement preparation / general ledger accounting experience

    + Advanced technical skills, including Excel and ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP and add on reporting software.

    + Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    + Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments

    + Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines

    Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 USD
