PURPOSE AND** **SCOPE:
The Senior Associate, in this management role, will support the Director of Treasury Centers. The position would be a member of the broader Corporate Finance and Global Treasury (CFGT) team that has been established over the past years to handle the entire Fresenius Medical Care (FME) Treasury function. This position will join CFGT in building out our new global team and will be a member of Treasury Centers team within CFGT. The Treasury Centers team is the direct contact with our business segments and works to ensure the companies Treasury needs are met. The Senior Associate can expect to work closely with all local legal entities globally. This role will have no direct reports but will be expected to have direct ownership of the Joint Venture loan program, and the companies bank and corporate guaranty program, which is currently covers 1,700+ guarantees. Tasks will primarily be in the areas of inter-company financing, investment management, guarantee management, equipment leasing, FX exposure, compliance with company policies and procedures, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and other regulatory requirements. The principal activity is providing analytical and operational support to the Director of Treasury Centers while managing assigned responsibilities of the Treasury Centers team within the global landscape of CFGT. Below is a list of the principal duties and responsibilities, however additional responsibilities may also need to be taken within CFGT.
PRINCIPAL** **DUTIES** **AND** **RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Assistwiththecreationandimplementationofnewstrategiestoimproveoperational efficiencyandexpandaccessto leasing capital
+ Collaborateacross Care Enablement and Care Development tofurtheroperational objectives
+ Assist the Director of Treasury Centers with the creation and adherence to investment policies for our various entities including for Captive Insurance, Pension Plan, Joint Ventures and others as needed. With a focus on capital preservation, liquidity and total return as objectives
+ SeekingoutavenueswhereCFGT canprovidevaluetotheorganization
+ Assistsinthedevelopmentandmanagementoftheequipmentleasingprograms,includingnegotiationwithleasingvendors; solicitation, analysis, and recommendation of lease bids; and streamlining of lease processing activities.
+ Performs NPV, IRR and analytical reviews of leases to confirm acceptable pricing, lease structure, accuracy and lease accounting compliance; confirms appropriate management approval and execution of lease transactions; submit Guarantor quarterly financial reporting packages for lease program compliance.
+ Efficiently manage all company bank and corporate guarantees using the Komgo platform and take full ownership of the entire portfolio. This includes bank group consolidation, pricing negotiations, portfolio cleanup, etc. This will require cultivating strong relationships with banks and engaging in regular communication. The role will also be responsible for implementing further enhancements to the Komgo platform including but not limited to, improving bank connectivity, and automating invoice payments/accounting.
+ Own and understand the FX exposure of FME by collaborating with the business units to understand the drivers to FX cash flows. Collaborate with the CFGT Capital Markets team to improve FX exposure management and reduce the risk associated with that FX exposure to the company P&L.
+ Lead the team on the Joint Venture loan program and other inter-company financings. This includes working with the division to assess loan requests, reviewing financial models, executing loan documentation, and ensuring borrower compliance.

EDUCATION:
+ Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred, but isn't required with relevant experience in treasury, real estate, leasing or investment management
+ Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other analytical degree preferred
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED** **SKILLS:
+ 8+ years' related experience; or a Master's degree with 6 years' experience; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
+ SAP Experience; P27/S4Hana Preferred
+ Komgo and/or Guarantee Experience Preferred
+ Strong Treasury Knowledge and understanding of Financial Market Instruments
+ Leasing Experience Not Required but Preferred
+ Should be comfortable presenting to senior Treasury leadership as well as to senior management, and have clear, independent upward and downward communication skills.
