    ManTech (Laurel, MD)


    **ManTech** seeks a motivated and career-oriented **System Administrator** with Linux expertise to join our team in **Laurel, MD** . Become an integral part of a diverse team delivering enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce supporting a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. This position supports the Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization, the backbone for all Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) at MPO.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    + Responsible for supporting implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.

    + Responsible for providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2/3 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of issues.

    + Responsible for identifying and resolving performance and capacity issues with Linux and supporting dispatch system and hardware-related problem resolution.

    + Responsible for providing detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.

    + Responsible for configuring, scripting, and managing Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.

    + Responsible for installing operating system software, troubleshooting issues, maintaining system integrity, configuring network components, and implementing OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Shall have fifteen (15) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

    + Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.

    + Five (5) years of additional System Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Familiarity with Scanboy and LatteART.

    Clearance Requirements:

    + Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

    Physical Requirements:

    + The candidate should be able to move, carry, and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer’s desks. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
