The Associate Director will support our mission to create employment for individuals with disabilities, focusing on employee safety, staffing, customer satisfaction, quality, and financial performance in the Rochester area.

Requirements

1. Work closely with the Director of Environmental Services to ensure all existing contracts in the region are in compliance with Statements of Work. 2. Responsible for total quality and customer satisfaction for all sites in the region, and developing, maintaining, and enforcing Quality System requirements. Reports results of Customer Quality Reviews with the Director of Environmental Services and Quality Systems Manager. 3. Oversees all schedules and employee staffing levels for sites in the region to ensure requirements are consistently satisfied. Ensures resources are allocated efficiently and direct reports are working together effectively. 4. Supports and assists with recruitment and retention activities for the area of responsibility, ensuring that staffing needs are met for the region. 5. Supports HT’s mission and advocates for the employment of people with disabilities on and off the job. 6. Responsible for providing operational data and support for Contract Renewal and/or Modification processes, including review and modifications of existing Statements of Work vs. actual work performed, cost analysis, and recommended cost reduction/cost avoidance opportunities. Lead or participate in presentations to prospective customers. 7. Reinforce a culture of service excellence by continually communicating the vision, goals, objectives, and expectations, while tracking measurable key performance indicators and effectively communicating results. 8. Responsible for the financial performance of the region. Reports on actual operating results vs. budget for the region to the Director of Environmental Services as required. 9. Seeks opportunities for new business within the region and informs the Director of Environmental Services of prospective accounts. Participates in new business development initiatives in the region, including walk-throughs, staffing, capital requirements, and cost analysis. Reviews and/or approves new proposals prior to submission to customers. 10. Provides on-the-job training to employees and monitors performance to ensure direct reports are competent or moving to competency in their assigned positions. 11. Approves performance reviews, promotions, demotions, and terminations recommended by Managers. Recommends promotions, demotions, and terminations of direct reports to the Director of Environmental Services. 12. Approves timesheets for all assigned employees. 13. Actively participates in corporate safety by following all safety procedures, creating a safe working environment, and practicing and training employees in safe and proper work habits and equipment use. 14. Reviews Incident/Accident report corrective and preventive actions. 15. Collaborates internally and with approved suppliers, and recommends new or alternative suppliers to the Director of Environmental Services to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of needed supplies. Recommends and implements product improvements. 16. Develops the capital budget for the region, including equipment and vehicles, and reviews recommendations with the Director of Environmental Services. 17. Evaluates and documents employee performance as required by the company, AbilityOne, and/or NYSID. 18. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Environmental Services.

Qualifications: 1. BS in Business Administration or related field and 5+ years of relevant management experience, or substantially equivalent combination of education and work experience. 2. Experience with and ability to read building drawings and specifications, contracts, quality plans, and related specific business documentation. 3. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. 4. Proficiency with MS Office products. 5. Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and have and maintain a driving record in accordance with Human Technologies’ Liability/Automotive Insurance carrier. 6. Must pass any required federal, state, municipality, and/or customer-specific background checks, including but not limited to drug testing.
